Boracay Philippines is located at the northwestern tip of Panay Island. Boracay Philippines although a small island has become the number one tourist spot of the Philippines.

The water that surrounds Boracay is very shallow, and the sand is brighter and finer than most other beaches in the Philippine Archipelago. This feature alone attracts familys seeking a family friendly environment for there vacation.

Boracay, When to Visit.
High season starts from October to about the end of May, and then low season begins, from June to September. During the Low Season you will find that the east side of Boracay, Bulabog Beach comes alive with Windsurfing and Kiteboarding enthusiast from all over the world.

Boracay Accommodation fees depend not only on the season but the type of Resort in Boracay you will be staying in.

Boracay Philippines does not offer the star rating system like many western countries, the Boracay Resorts and Boracay Hotels Resorts are rated as, S.I.R., A, AA, and AAA Boracay Resorts.

Flights to Boracay Resorts

From Metro Manila, the Manila Domestic Airport has daily Flights to Boracay either via Caticlan (35 minutes) or via Kalibo (40 minutes) on Panay Island. From the Kalibo Airport, air-conditioned buses and vans for hire are available to take you to the Caticlan Jetty Port, where banca boats are stationed to take you to Boracay Island.

The boat ride takes around 15 to 20 minutes while the bus trip takes about 60 minutes. The banca boats are no longer allowed to drop guest off on the side of Boracay Beach due to the unsightly scene it has caused. Cagban Beach located on the southern tip of Boracay is now the new designated arrival and departure point.

From Iloilo, there are air-conditioned buses and vans going to Kalibo or directly to Caticlan, where boats going to Boracay are stationed.

From Cebu, SEAIR Philippines and Asian Spirit fly to Kalibo two times weekly.
